Kaushik is an intrapreneur, business coach, university lecturer and corporate leader in sustainability.

Professional Athlete

Born in India and raised in Nigeria, at the age of 13, Kaushik (left his parents and) joined the John Newcombe tennis academy in Texas, USA. He travelled the world competing on the professional tennis tour for many years before moving on to pursuing a university degree.

Professional Experience

Dr. Kaushik Sridhar is an experienced and purpose-driven sustainability leader with over 16 years’ experience developing and implementing environmental, social and governance (ESG) programs, strategies, and initiatives focusing on improving business’ financial bottom line and contribution to society while reducing their environmental impacts.

In 2020, he was named among the ‘40 Under 40 Influential Asian-Australians’, and also ranked #8 in Assent Compliance’ Top 100 Global Corporate Social Responsibility Leaders.

Dr. Kaushik Sridhar currently leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive ESG strategy, framework and risk management for an ASX-listed gold mining company. He also leads and implements the business’ long-term community and social responsibility strategy to protect and enhance Evolution’s reputation and social license and guide Asset-specific plans.

His previous professional experience includes working at Regis Healthcare, KPMG, EY and Unisys where he has built and led multi-million-dollar and award-winning sustainability programs & strategies.

In addition to his full-time role, Kaushik is currently on the Editorial Advisory Board of Pro Bono Australia and a brand Ambassador for Better Futures Australia, a climate change initiative. He has previously held a number of non-executive directorship roles including Bioregional Australia, Fair Trade Association of Australia and New Zealand and the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation.

Kaushik is also an Adjunct Lecturer at Australian Institute of Business teaching Corporate Governance as part of their MBA program. He has previously worked as an adjunct lecturer at Kaplan Business School, Monash University, University of Melbourne and RMIT University teaching MBA courses including Leadership and Corporate Sustainability.

He has also worked as a Business Coach at Latrobe University, coaching start-ups in their Accelerator Program. He has coached more than 15 start-ups since 2017.

He is widely published in Australian and international peer-reviewed journals. He has presented at conferences in Australia, Asia and Europe.

He holds a PhD and MBA from Macquarie Business School. He also has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Newberry College (USA where he was the dux (valedictorian) with a GPA of 3.99.

His commitment to making an impact in the community as well as driving change within large businesses, universities and not-for-profit organisations has placed him in good stead with a wide range of stakeholders.
